The Gallery

As you may have noticed, we are working towards getting a mascot for our community here at Ultimate-Guitar.

If you have an idea of what it could look like, post em! We can discuss in detail our thoughts on everyone's posts and such.

Remember- (I cannot stress this enough) the mascot has to represent the UG Community.

So, go ahead! Post away. And once we get enough ideas, we'll get the competition underway.

Hey, I have created a UG Mascot idea, as you can see I have used the UG Site background for it too.
To be honest it was a quick photoshop job, its not that exciting though.

I think it should be Guitar with the knobs as eyes and plugged into an amp which could be its mouth....I call him Spark!

if some one would like to Digitally create it fine by me I am just throwing it out there.

my idea in full

1. A Red Strat (Mainly because it is the icon on firefox)
2. an sticker on it (I know stickers are dumb on real guitars) Saying "Ultimate-Guitar"
3. Now this wouldn't look like a traditional Stratocaster the knobs would line up like eyes, and then the switch would act like a nose.
So far we have this ":-" (not this:-))
4. Then we have it connected to a Marshal Amp acting as the mouth....

if this is unclear to everyone I am not the best artist but I could draw a basic name of it (name is artist talk for rough draft).

I think it should be a UG user stereotype, like a wild eyed, lanky 16 year old with slight acne, a wild mane of hair, and a mischievous disposition. Possibly holding like a Les Paul or something.

OR... It could be a MAGIC guitar that can talk, and has little stick arms. (I imagine the body is it's body, the neck is it's neck, the head stock is it's head, and the stick arms come at some point in the middle of the neck)

OR AGAIN.....It could be a MONKEY? Like a pit monkey? I imagine a monkey similar to funny bones or whatever from that one Brenden Frasier movie, like kinda cool jazzy, with maybe a hat and some shades?

OR FOR A THIRD TIME....what about Some bad ass mythical beast? Like a Fiery Pentacorn? (That's a 5 horned horse that breathes fire, flies like a pegasys, and has an iron face. Also a main of fire, and fiery hooves, pretty f*cking cool, right?)

IDK, I hope we get a cool one though.

And btw, we can have not only one mascot.

For Ex. we can have two of them:

devil for representing guitarness hellness and flamability of community
and a pink cute thing representing goodness, friendship and helpfull of community

The body should be almost like a Kurt Cobain skinny and it shoud wear a flannel longsleeve shirt with light blue pants with knee rips in them and it should be wearing black and white checkered shoes. The guitar should be a black Fender Jaguar. Thats what I think it should be so let it be done. Peace...

Remember, it needs to be really simple. People have to look at it and be able to recognise it as UG's symbol. And besides, a complicated one would be a pain in the ass to graffiti on the desks at school.

For a long while I thought this thread died...

A name? Well he has already gave the name"Monster box" I was thinking of a name that would go more on the lines of, Spark or Boom. But monster sounds okay.

His story?

He's a Frankenstein-like experiment created by an evil master mind Guitarist in his attempt to take over UG. But it was a fail because although Boom may look like a Monster, he isn't. He is just a (rabid puppy stuck in a microwave ... jk) Amp with a puppy complex looking for someone to play with him. Go ahead Plug-in, he won't bite.

Not feeling too creative right now, but that's the best I can come up with.
