 Seriously, there's so many. I just wish I could travel back to the Swinging 60s and then watch the music scene grow. I'm proud of the way so many British bands have gone on to shape the way music sounds today. |

I'd lead towards either Iron Maiden or Bal-Sagoth (who I believe are from Yorkshire, I may be wrong about that though)
Though it depens on how you determine 'best'
Influential wise again I'd go Maiden but then of course Floyd, The Zep etc

They're a power metal band (though for some reason I found them under Black Metal, I don't see that genre in them AT ALL, I mean, it'd be like calling Iron Maiden Twee Pop...they're just not) from Yorkshire with some of the longest song titles going (Much longer than Nile  )
