If there is only one zombie and you can be sure of that, then yes, fine, just run away, but this is one of the biggest misconseptions ever. But if you can't be sure, than there are multiple reasons why this is foolish: 1. Zombies will stop at nothing to get to you or others. Yes, you may be much faster, but you require food, rest, and you cannot run forever whithout becoming fatigued. Zombies have more endurance than anyone, they can keep going until their muscles deteriorate, which (depending on the climate) can take years. 2. Most likely you have no idea whether where you are going is safe or not. Zombies can be anywhere, so no place is safe.
~If a zombie is coming after you, then yes, run, but don't enderestimate them just because you can get away temporarily. You can't run forever!

You might be safe for a little bit, but once you run out of ammo then what? Then you've also got to think about supplies...food, water, etc. And the zombies that you do kill outside will start rotting even more and create health problems. There really is no safe place when it comes to a zombie outbreak, because in the end you need supplies. |

sometimes you dont have any weapons, are caught by suprise, get scared and panic, there is more than one zombie, etc. Just killing the zombie/zombies isn't always an option, if you want to live. |

those zombies are fake, sorry to burst your bubble.
once a zombie is reanimated, it is just as decomposed as the human it is hosting, so unless you could kick the leg off a regular human, dont bank on it, bud. |

why do people here think that getting to high places is good? its definately bad. sure you can get the roof and kill some zombies, but chances are they are going to keep coming back, as more and more people will get infected. Also the double decker bus, sure you will be able to last a long time, assuming the zombies don't find some glitch in this, i haven't thought it completely through, but eventually you will be screwed, because when you finally run out of supplies, you will have no where to go. It i wil work for a while, but in the end it will fail |

I'm pretty sure the 28 days later ones are just humans with some form of disease similar to rabies.
Zombies are the dead who are re-incarnated as they were when they died, they also lose all knowledge of ever being the person they were.
And I have had many zombie plans, there are a good few things I could do to avoid death for a while. And anyone that says "Town Centre" or "Mall" are stupid, unless its real late at night/early in the morning you're screwed there cos in the town centre there'll be people going crazy and rioting from scaredness and there'll also be zombies, it's a death trap. You have to remember there are more people than just you. |

you've brought up a good point.
the more people there are in an area, the more zombies there will be in that area.
not only are zombies attracted to people (their noises, scents and motion) but if one person in the crowded area was to be bitten, that person would then spread the virus and so on and so forth.
basically get somewhere where no one else will go, but you can still defend yourself if a zombie wanders off, or a bitten human retreats to your location and then proceeds to reanimate in your area. |

decomposition will have to save you. there aren't enough bullets in the world to take on an entire continent or world of the undead. plus you don't need complete decomposition, just enough so the brain rots and there dead. in the end, outbreak is a waiting game, depending on the scale of it that is. |

true, but that is only in the case of a class 4 outbreak, which is highly highly unlikely, and in that case, you will probably die long before all zombies decompose, so sorry, pal. |

main places for evacuation I would suggest remote areas, rural towns, outskirts of cities (not suburbs), you get the idea. A secure place with a easy map is key. If you can get around fast, more power to you. Physical training is important, as well as mental. Remember, most of your family/friends will probably be dead, so, you have to have the right survival mindset to go on. Weapons, guns are standard, explosives such as propane tanks and molotovs as well would be needed in emergency(abandoned liquor store can supply plenty of these). And just like any news station says, A LOT of canned food and water. Or if you're constantly on the move, I'll divide it into two sections:
On foot: This will need much endurance. Probably you'll have to kill for your food and hold to what survival instincts you have. I suggest you learn from Bear Grylls if you prefer the path of wilderness. Low numbers preferably. unless you're traveling with highly trained militant killing machines, more people would only jeopardize you.
In car: Have many spare gas tanks in case you dont find a (working) gas station for miles. Avoid populated areas and take back roads and highways. The threat to your car isnt really zombies, its people trying to hijack your car, remember, this is just like any other apocalyptic scenario, people will become desperate. Anyways, I dont think you'll be in a car for long, gas stations would probably be drained dry by a couple of weeks. |

^You shouldn't even be using a car in the first place. The noise of the car's engine will attract zombies. The roads would probably be blocked by abandoned cars when people were trying to escape during riots too. A bike is your best way to go. Noiseless, doesn't run on any finite fuels except your body and can go on many terrains. |

If you're driving from state to state, for example, wouldn't an SUV or something be okay? In the event that you're on an open country road or highway with little to no hidden spots. |

Well if you're in an open area, then I suppose you could drive but the noise would attract zombies all around and your supply of gas isn't unlimited |

Yes because everyone has access to a plane or helicopter that is not overpopulated with other people trying to escape. |

walking from zombies should be easy. notice how I said walking and not running. You dont have to run to outpace a predator thats chasing you at the speed of a tortoise, just watch your pace that you dont get surrounded in a swarming trap of zedheads. |

But where there is one zombie, there are more zombies. you would probably be surrounded quite easily. Also if you were faced to face with a zombie, you'd probably be running anyway. You'd be having an adrenaline rush, panic and run. |
